Here is a quick summary of our admission process FOR A RISING KIndergartener:

1. Apply today. We are now accepting applications for students in grades K-5. Students applying for kindergarten must be five years of age by September 1, 2025. Applications completed by February 1, 2025 are eligible for first-round decisions which are announced on March 1, 2025. Submitting an application is only a step in our admission process and does not secure a space in a classroom. 

2. Kindergarten Screening: During this visit your child will participate in Kindergarten Readiness Activities and parents will participate in an informational session with CJDS administration.

Here is a quick summary of our admission process FOR A RISING 1st-5th graders:

1. Apply today. We are now accepting applications for students in grades K-5. Students applying for kindergarten must be five years of age by September 1, 2025. Applications completed by February 1, 2025 are eligible for first-round decisions which are announced on March 1, 2025. Submitting an application is only a step in our admission process and does not secure a space in a classroom. 

2. Shadow Day: Your child will participate in a day in the life of a CJDS student in the grade they would be entering. Students will also participate in an admissions screening during their day.

For students applying after February 1, 2025, CJDS follows a rolling admissions process with visits and screenings arranged individually.
