Applying to Columbus Jewish Day School
Welcome! We are thrilled you are considering our learning community!
Here is a quick summary of our admission process:
Students applying for kindergarten must be five years of age by September 1, 2025. Applications completed by February 1, 2025 are eligible for first-round decisions which are announced on March 1, 2025. Submitting an application is only a step in our admission process and does not secure a space in a classroom.
Once you have submitted your application, students entering Kindergarten through 5th grade must have the Records Release Form and Teacher Recommendation Forms completed by your child’s current school. These forms are available within the online application.
During this in person visit, you will have the opportunity to safely see our CJDS campus, have time to meet with our faculty, and also have the chance to share some time with our Head of School.
Columbus Jewish Day School operates on a rolling admissions schedule. All families will be notified within two weeks of completing the application process. Once a student has been admitted, families are eligible to apply for tuition assistance.
For students applying after February 1, 2025, CJDS follows a rolling admissions process with visits and screenings arranged individually. Here are the steps to our rolling admission process:
1. Submit an application. Our Director of Admissions, Julie M., will contact you once your application is submitted.
